E7087 is E Ride Pro's factory tapered roller bearing for the steering head, the pivot that lets the fork and front wheel turn. A tapered roller design spreads the load across rollers instead of single contact points. That's why E Ride Pro uses it here: the steering head takes a hard hit every time the front wheel lands a jump, drops off a ledge, or slams into a braking bump. Over time those impacts wear dents into the races, and water and grit work into the grease. The result is easy to feel. The bars catch at a "notch" when centered, the front end clunks under hard braking, or the steering feels loose and wanders at speed. Fresh bearings bring back smooth, consistent steering and a tight front end, which makes a big difference in control on fast or technical terrain. This genuine part matches the factory size and taper for a correct fit in the stock frame and stem.

Worn bearings make the bars catch at center and the fork knock under braking. New bearings make steering smooth and quiet again.

Tapered rollers carry the heavy impacts from jumps and drops far better than standard ball bearings, which is why E Ride Pro specs them for the steering head.

A steering head uses an upper and a lower bearing. If you're doing a full headset service, confirm whether your bike takes E7087 in both positions and order accordingly.
